Every lip balm purchase supports and
strengthens the global community
Deep in the mountainous jungle, over 4,000 farmers work hard every day in their cocoa fields to produce our unrefined organic cocoa butter so that we can formulate a truly moisturizing balm for your lips. While you nourish your lips with the benefits of enriching organic cocoa butter, you can feel good knowing that you are providing fair wages to these farmers and a better life for their families.
To provide the deep hydration of coconut oil for your lips, we source from Kerala, India. Working under fair trade principles, over 6,000 farmers are not only given a fair price for their high quality coconut oil, but they are enabled to practice better sustainable measures to nurture the land and themselves. We are proud to support greater equity and justice in the global economy.
Traditionally laboring in impoverished conditions, now over 4,600 local women farmers are organized under the Nununa Federation bringing greatly improved job conditions and economic sustenance to these women and their families. With over 20 labor-intensive steps, creating the unrefined organic shea butter is truly a labor of love; and our lips say thank you to these women farmers for the luscious shea used to heal our dry lips.
